What is this tool?

Pets don’t age at a constant “seven human years per year.” Commonly published pet-aging charts use a steeper early curve (roughly 15 human years in year one, about nine more in year two) then smaller yearly increments that differ by dog size. This tool follows that general shape in both directions (pet→human and human→pet) as a fun estimate — not a veterinary or scientific assessment, and not affiliated with any veterinary association.

How to use it

  1. Choose direction: pet → human years or human → pet years.
  2. Choose dog or cat (and dog size when relevant).
  3. Enter age in years (decimals OK).
