What is this tool?
Shifts a starting musical key by a chosen number of semitones up or down, and can transpose a typed chord progression in the same move. Chord qualities (m, maj7, sus4, and so on) stay attached; only roots and slash-bass notes move. Progressions are generic theory examples you type yourself — this tool does not use or reproduce any copyrighted song. Choose sharp or flat spelling for the output.
How to use it
- Pick the starting key, how many semitones to shift, and up or down.
- Read the resulting key.
- Optionally paste a chord progression to transpose it, then copy the result.
